ArtPilates is a pilates studio located in Alsace, France. The professor is a professional dancer that was able to heal an injury by practicing pilates. Today she is sharing her passion for this low impact workout method that is making wonders on the body.
Client's requirement
After encountering an issue on her old website, the client wanted me to fix it and gave me free rein if I wanted to redesign it which is what I did.
Challenge
I designed her old website a few years prior without the knowledge on wordpress that I have today and therefore decided to give the website a new and more up to date look than it had before. I wanted to use the colors and shapes of her branding which were challenging because the colors were not optimized for the web. Moreover the pictures she had were old and didn’t do justice to the real beauty of her studio and degraded the overall look of her website.
Solution
To solve these challenges I added a light blue color, complementary to the main branding colors, to improve the visual balance. I also incorporated the central flower of the logo throughout the website to enhance consistency and added a linear logo for the menu.
Finally, I did a photoshoot in her studio to showcase its features and to give her website a more polished and professional look.
